To help keep you in the know, the monthly **Docutech Compliance Recap** brings you the most recent compliance updates.  Here’s our latest recap: ## Global Data Integrity Check Updates - The Office of Native American Programs announced an increase to the Section 184 upfront loan guarantee fee from 1.00% to 1.50% for loans receiving a firm commitment on or after October 1, 2026. Docutech updated its Data Integrity Checks to reflect the new fee, including retiring obsolete checks, updating existing checks for commitments before October 1, and adding new Warning and Error checks for commitments on or after that date.  [Read More.](https://compliance.docutech.com/global-data-integrity-check-updates-section-184-upfront-loan-guarantee-fee) ## Document Updates - The Rhode Island Tangible Net Benefit (Cx11242) was updated to better reflect requirements for determining a borrower’s reduction in monthly payments. The “DECREASE FROM” amount will now use the Monthly Payoff Amount, allowing the calculation to account for other monthly obligations being financed in addition to the existing mortgage payment. MISMO 3.x imports were also added to support the updated document behavior. (MERS). The update corrects the state abbreviation associated with the MERS mailing address, with no other substantive changes to the document. A new Wisconsin Consumer Act Indicator (FI 194780) can identify applicable Wisconsin transactions based on loan amount, lien position and occupancy. Related updates include a $10 maximum late charge for applicable closed-end junior lien loans and new Wisconsin Consumer Act language within certain second-lien mortgage and note documents. The document now aligns with the current VA Form 26-1839, including its July 2026 revision date, July 31, 2029 OMB expiration date and updated VA logo. [Read More.](https://compliance.docutech.com/document-update-va-compliance-inspection-report-cx5402) - Updates were made to the Illinois Pledged Time Deposit Account Disclosure (Cx1014) and its example version (Cx14180) to better reflect how each document is used. Changes include revised signature configuration and explanatory language for the example disclosure, electronic fill fields for the closing disclosure, and updated checkbox formatting. The circumstances under which the documents are provided remain unchanged. [Read More.](https://compliance.docutech.com/document-updates-illinois-pledged-time-deposit-account-disclosures-cx1014-and-cx14180) - Nebraska’s Request for Notice of Default language was updated within the NE Deed of Trust Second (Cx496) and HELOC Deed of Trust – NE (Cx3044) to more closely align with the state’s statutory model form. The recording information will now use the First Lien Recording Date, and a borrower signature line was added to Cx3044 when the Request for Notice of Default prints. Late payment penalty language was added for applicable HELOC transactions, which typically do not include a Closing Disclosure, to support the requirements of West Virginia law. When the field is set to “Yes,” applicable exemption language will print on supported Georgia security deeds or loan modification agreements. Eight documents were updated to support the new field and exemption language. The PIN tag on the first page of four generic Pennsylvania security instruments was replaced with “UPI/PIN,” helping support county recording requirements and reduce potential recorder rejections. The CFPB indicated that the revised Toolkit may be used immediately and that existing supplies of earlier versions may continue to be used until exhausted. Docutech is reviewing the revised Toolkit to determine the scope of the changes and applicable compliance requirements, including whether use of the revised version is permitted or mandatory, and will provide additional implementation information once that review is complete.
